Kick-off event for the Jhpiego Asia Tsunami Fund: Gathering for a week of giving in Fells Point
Despite frigid temperatures and a mid-afternoon shower of flurries, the Fells Point
neighborhood (home to Jhpiego) joined together at The Red Star restaurant on the evening of
January 24 in support of the Jhpiego Asia Tsunami Fund. The Red Star and twenty other Fells Point
businesses are donating a percentage of their profits for the week of January 24-29 to benefit
South Asia tsunami survivors. Attendance was high and the room was filled with energy. Among
the guests were the leaders of the World Trade Center Institute and Regional Manufacturing
Institute.
