At the 13th annual Johns Hopkins Women’s Health Conference, “A Woman’s Journey”—held on Saturday 03 November 2007 at 9 a.m., at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel—Jhpiego President and CEO, Dr. Leslie Mancuso, will discuss her experience leading Jhpiego in managing major health crises in low-resource settings throughout the world, as well as her own battle with a rare retinal cancer.

Since 1995, nearly 1,000 registrants have participated in this women’s health conference, learning first-hand about advances in medicine from individuals performing research in a variety of fields. This year’s day-long series of seminars will feature hour-long presentations covering issues in prevention, treatment and diagnosis of diseases affecting women. Topics include: aging, heart disease, stress, weight loss and depression.

The conference is designed for the general public. Social workers, personal trainers, nurses and other health care professionals are eligible for continuing education credit for attending.

To reserve a place or for more information about group discounts or continuing education credits, call 410-955-8660 or send an e-mail. Registration can also be completed via the conference Web site.
