Orientation Package

The objective of the orientation package is to rapidly disseminate new information in a technical area, such as national policy guidelines, to front-line providers through concise, user-friendly materials. The orientation package includes:

The orientation package is meant to transfer knowledge, but not skills, to providers over one to two days. It complements traditional trainings, which are typically longer and target trainers.

The orientation package uses a cascade approach, which means that providers who have received an update using an orientation package then disseminate the new knowledge to other colleagues, usually those with whom they work. This is convenient and cost-effective since it avoids disrupting services by having to bring every provider to an orientation.
