Managing Complications in Pregnancy and Childbirth: A Guide for Midwives and Doctors
This manual, developed by the World Health Organization and Jhpiego, is written for midwives and doctors at the district hospital who are responsible for the care of women with complications of pregnancy, childbirth or the immediate problems of the newborn. The main text of the manual is arranged by symptoms (e.g., vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy) to facilitate immediate diagnosis and treatment in an emergency situation. There are also sections covering "Clinical Principles" and "Procedures." (2000)
