Measuring the Effects of Behavior Change and Service Delivery Interventions in Guatemala with Population-Based Survey Results
Empowering individuals and communities to recognize and respond to obstetrical emergencies was a goal of the Guatemalan Ministry of Health and Public Assistance and the Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH) Program. This report evaluates the impact of behavior change initiatives by the MNH Program and its partners on improving community preparedness and helping increase maternal and neonatal survival in the country. Research methods, as well as routine health and management information systems, were used to conduct the evaluation. (2004) Available in English and Spanish.
