Gathari Ndirangu

Director, Family Planning and Reproductive Health

Dr. Gathari Ndirangu is an Ob/Gyn and reproductive health expert with more than 20 years of experience working to expand access to quality reproductive health care through both his clinical and public health efforts. He has served on multiple global and regional technical committees, many of which are hosted at the WHO, including revision of the Medical Eligibility Criteria (MEC) for Contraceptive Use, development of the FP Data Adaption Kit, and the WHO Academy e-learning course on counselling and prescribing of contraception in pharmacies. He has led multi-partner teams in both technical and management capacities on global and bilateral awards (MCHIP/Kenya, MCSP/Kenya, MCSP/Zambia, Afya Halisi), and returns to Jhpiego from his most recent position as Global Deputy Technical Director and FP/RH Team Lead for the USAID-funded MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) project at Pathfinder International.
