Jhpiego has been active in Haiti since 1997, initially with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to work with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to build the country’s capacity to provide family planning services. Through the years, Jhpiego’s portfolio has grown as it developed a strong relationship with the MOH and proved its ability to develop and implement evidence-based, high-impact interventions that save the lives of women and children.

Currently, under the Services de Santé de Qualité pour Haiti (SSQH) project, the Jhpiego-led, USAID-funded Maternal and Child Survival Program (MCSP) is improving outcomes for HIV/TB, nutrition, family planning and maternal, newborn and child health in Haiti.
