Acting Director, Family Planning and Reproductive Health
Anne Pfitzer, MHS, is a recognized public health leader whose Family Planning/Reproductive Health (FP/RH) program and implementation research experience span 25 years and 19 African and Asian countries, including long-term assignments in Indonesia, Ethiopia and Kenya. She brings a rare combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, operational and managerial skills. She is acting in leading Jhpiego’s portfolio of family planning work within the Technical Leadership and Innovations office, as well as directing the FP/RH work under U.S.Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Momentum Country and Global Leadership project. Previously, she led family planning and youth work under USAID’s global flagship Maternal and Child Survival Program and served as a Principal Investigator on a number of studies involving postpartum family planning, integration of services and new contraceptive method introduction.
