Let’s make a difference for Mozambique. Run, walk or support our 8th annual Miles for Mothers!

Miles for Mothers is on the move this year to provide access to lifesaving care in one of the world’s most vulnerable communities – Sofala province in Mozambique.

Join Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate, in this year’s global Miles for Mothers running festival! For the 8th annual Miles for Mothers, participants around the world will be running or walking their own course to raise funds to support completion of the Dondo Health Center in Mozambique. Cyclone Idai devastated the country in 2019 and damaged this health center, forcing it to close; then COVID-19 delayed the repairs.

Our goal is to raise $40,000 to help Mozambique rebuild the Dondo Health Center! Join us by walking, running, donating, or fundraising to reopen the center and reach the thousands of families who depend on it with lifesaving health services!

You’re warmly invited to join our Miles for Mothers Facebook group.

In 2019 Cyclone Idai struck Mozambique damaging the Dondo Health Center in Mozambique, and then COVID-19 further delayed essential repairs. This year #MilesForMothers is on the move to finish restoring the health center and provide essential medical equipment and supplies.

It’s that time of year again—I’m running/walking/fundraising for #MilesForMothers! This year, we’re on the #Move4PPE to help nurses and midwives around the world who don’t have access to the basic lifesaving supplies they need to continue safely providing care during #COVID19. I ran/walked in #MilesForMothers last year to equip health workers with PPR. This year, I’m joining the #MilesforMothers movement to restore the Dondo Health Center and provide essential medical equipment and supplies in Mozambique!
